Tom and Jerry Birthday........Chet (and Elle's)

I know this is a little late, but, I am kind of scatterbrained!  I have birthdays on the brain right now because I am planning my older daughters birthday and I remembered that I wanted to post this one awhile ago.

So this summer Elle had several birthdays and this is one that she shared with her cousin Chet.  They both love Tom and Jerry and Chet was having a Tom and Jerry Birthday so we joined in on the fun since we were there visiting for the summer. The kids are only 18 days apart so that was close enough to share and Elle likes to party for months. Ha ha!  On a sweet little note.  My grandpa who passed away last August loved Tom and Jerry, he would have loved to have been at the party.  I remember him watching the show and laughing hysterically. For that I am so glad it was a Tom and Jerry party.

So Reanne and I put together another party.   We had (pretend) mice in mouse traps hanging over the food table.  We also had cut out mouse holes around the house.

The cake was pretty fun and with lots of team effort I think it turned out great!

S'mores popcorn

We have had a few places that we have gone in the last couple of weeks and I wanted to bring something we already had in the kitchen.  Well my kids are obsessed with popcorn, mini marshmallow bits and the mini graham crackers (they are so tiny and cute!) And I seem to always have chocolate and vanilla almond bark on hand.  We made the s'mores popcorn with both the vanilla and chocolate almond bark. 

So easy and so good!  You can pretty much make any kind of popcorn you want

Snack#3 Butterflies

So, yesterday's snack was butterflies.  I found these on pintrest and her is my version with animal crackers and pretzels.  The teachers are funny because they can't wait to see what I will bring next. Tomorrow will be the last day for snack and then I will have to think/find some more new ideas for the next time.  Hopefully it will be around a holiday!  I can't wait~

Back to school = Back to the gym

I don't think I am going to make it....

I did squats at the gym on Wednesday and I could not walk up the stairs yesterday!

Now today I can not walk up or down the stairs.

Cakepops are so much easier!

Snack week...................Snack#2 Grape Caterpillers

So for Elle's class they have the parents bring a weeks worth of snacks and we decided to do the first week of school.  Then you don't have to bring again for a couple of months.  Yesterday we did the Goldfish and today we made grape caterpillars  that I found here.  They were very easy and pretty darn cute.  Rian also got to bring these snacks for herself too!

First Day of School ............2012

Wow the last week has been crazy!  My husband I have decided to put our 5 year old into Kindergarten. (the Tuesday before school started)  All along we had said we were going to hold her back because she has an August birthday.  Preschool was paid for and everything.  But we will be moving and the school system is great here so we thought we would go for it.  Well I cried for like 3 days straight!  Not fun!  Then she went to school yesterday and the first words out of her mouth were "  Mom, my day was fantastic!"  Oh my gosh I was relieved to hear those words.  Yeah!!  

So now I have a 3rd grader and a Kindergartner!   Not really sure what I am going to do with myself.  

Well, I did sign up to Volunteer for both girls classes and we have snack for the first week for Kindergarten.
